How it Works

For three days, you will work from morning until evening to improve your CTO skills. Instructors will alternate between training sessions in order to provide varied insights.

Day 1: Information

Module 01 - Introductions

Instructors and participants introduce themselves.

Module 02 - Growing Software

How to grow software without having it degenerate? How to measure the software quality? How can you tell when the software begins to degenerate? How can you recuperate in such cases? How to act on the software system to improve its quality?

Module 03 - CTO Interview

Interview of a CTO based in Berlin. Instructors and teachers can ask questions, obtain new insights, and network.

Day 2

Module 04 - Growing your Company

What does a CTO cofounder of a startup need to know when deciding to sign an agreement with the other founders? When the company grows and you potentially need investors, what should you look out for in the contracts, how to negotiate effectively?

Module 05 - Growing Capability

Software flexibility is certainly something needed in order for growth of functionalities and to keep the cost of changes low. But, do we have a strategy for going from 10 users to 100, 1000, 1,000,000 users in a few months? What solutions exist? What are the pros and cons? How can one imagine an evolution of technological solution?

Module 06 - CTO Interview

Second interview of a Berlin startup CTO.

Day 3

Module 07 - Growing in the Local Ecosystem

To grow a startup for a CTO co-founder is not only a matter of software metrics and concurrent access. You must also speak with investors, journalists, and clients. Do we know how to best handle these meetings? How do we know if we are going down the right path? How to satisfy their requests? How to negotiate through communication? How to do an interview in an effective way? How to become an active member in the Berlin startup community?

Module 08 - Growing the Product

Growing a product means knowing how to plan, estimate, and split requirements. How do you create a strategy for the development of system features? How can you improve the estimates? How can you best organize your team?

Module 09 - Q&A

In the Q&A session, participants and instructors review their time spent together, then set personal goals.

"Questions?"

We are still in the process of growing and developing this Training. What questions would you like our instructors to address?
