7 days until #itaprog2berlin

Everything is ready: 60 Italian developers with a ticket to Berlin; At least another 100 are on the waiting list, who will soon become part of new session of the workshop that we are creating; 10 of the most dynamic startups in Berlin seeking developers to integrate into their teams; Media coverage by the best of the Berlin scene.

Today, we finished the preparations for the #itaprog2berlin workshop.

The startup boxes that will greet developer resumes have already been photographed and starting Monday, we will be launching a contest to let people vote for the most beautiful box! The box with the most votes will receive a prize!

We have also put together an event program for workshop participants who will be visiting Berlin for the weekend. Together with the FC Garage team, we can participate in the Friday @6 Show, relaxing in a Biergarten after the workshop, as well as do a tour of Berlin to discover the history of jazz with Corina, who will be singing at the Karneval festival at the end of the tour.

We were not expecting all of this. It initially began as just a small idea to help some students who visited our Garage. They wanted to gain work experience in a startup based in Berlin, but were having difficulty during their interviews and facing organizational and bureaucratic challenges. Thus, the idea for the workshop: a win-win solution for developers looking for a startup and startup looking for developers. Then, like everything here in Berlin, our workshop has grown in size in no time.

There are 7 days to go until #itaprog2berlin, but we have already learned a lot from this experience. We have experienced first hand the opening of Berlin startups that, without barriers, have allowed us to more deeply explore their needs. We have also felt the unequivocal support of the Berlin scene ecosystem. All is well!
